- Prior to opening her company, Ocean 2 Ocean Productions Inc., Cheryl created a dinner
event benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event was aptly named “The
Night of Miracles”, and was held for eight consecutive years raising over one million dollars
for St. Jude. Cheryl, along with her committee of dedicated volunteers built this event from
the ground up, and, owing to Cheryl’s creativity and multiple contacts with both sports and
Hollywood celebrities, the Night of Miracles grew in scope and size each year. In the fourth
year of this event, Cheryl secured former Miami Dolphins Head Coach and current
University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Dave Wannstedt and his wife Jan to serve as
Honorary Chairpersons. Their involvement help move the event to a higher level, and by
2004 the Night of Miracles had become one of South Florida’s premier occasions. The
dinner, which took place on the Dolphin’s practice field, made the Night of Miracles one of
the most unique events in the area.
- In 2002 Cheryl created the Circle of Champions, a national event benefiting the St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital. Jim Steeg, former Senior VP for Special Events with the NFL,
and current Chief Operating Officer for the San Diego Chargers, had the confidence in
Cheryl’s event planning and production ability to welcome her into Super Bowl weekend and
present her the opportunity to create this event. The concept was to honor former winning
Super Bowl coaches. In the two years that she produced this event for St. Jude, her honoree’
s were the late Hank Stram , former Head Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and winner of
Super Bowl IV, and the following year, she had the privilege to honor Miami Dolphins Hall of
Fame coach, Don Shula, the winningest head coach in the history of the National Football
League. This was a special honor for Cheryl who was on the sidelines with Coach Shula for
five years as a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader.
- The First Annual Glenn Anderson Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Jacaranda Golf
Club in Plantation Florida on April 25, 2005. Glenn Anderson is the late brother of Cheryl’s
close friend, Cindy Anderson. This was the first Golf Tournament produced by Ocean 2
Ocean and it was a rousing success, raising almost $35,000 for ALS. The winning team,
sponsored by Anthony’s Runway 84 Restaurant, who also sponsored the nineteenth hole,
was led by Hall of Fame Miami Dolphins Quarterback Dan Marino. After a great day of golf,
there was dinner and an auction. This tournament will continue yearly benefiting the ALS
Association.

Ocean 2 Ocean Productions was selected by the NFL Alumni to produce their
dinner in New York City at the prestigious New York Athletic Club in September
2008. On this night the alumni honored the 40th anniversary of the NY Football
Giants and the Greatest Game Ever Played. Legendary members of the 58 Giants
in attendance were Pat Summerall, Sam Huff and Roland Svare. Also honored
that evening receiving the NFL Alumni Honorary Teammate Award was Barry
Frank, Executive Vice President – Sports Media for IMG. Presenting Barry Frank
with this prestigious award was Sean McManus, President of CBS News and
Sports.
This event was held on May 3rd, 2007 at the Waldorf=Astoria in NYC. Our special
guests were three members of the 1969 World Champion New York Mets, Art
Shamsky, Cleon Jones, and Ron Swoboda. Congressman Tom Lantos was the
keynote speaker and the event, drawing more than 300 attendees benefiting the
Pulmonary Hypertension Center of New York. Ocean 2 Ocean was contracted to
produce this inaugural event for the PHA. Under Cheryl's production, this event
raised over $400,000. The creative concept in developing this event was to honor
the 1969 Miracle Mets, recreating another miracle in the city of New York for the
patients who suffer from PH.
